Some more work I shot for the current issue of Wake Forest Magazine:
I drove out to Connecticut to spend the afternoon with Julie Coyne in her beautiful little lake side house that she doesn’t spend much time in. Most of the year, you can find her in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala running her non-profit, Education & Hope.
After graduating from Wake, Julie traveled to Guatemala for a language immersion program, and while there, witnessed the extreme poverty of the children in her community. When she came home, she raised the money to return to Guatemala and be more involved in making a difference. Two decades later, she’s provided over 200 scholarships, created after school programs, and provided housing to children eager to pursue an education. Check out the website and see how you can contribute to Julie’s important work.
